TOPS NH #38


Being diagnosed with obesity is a frightful experience, but developing the right kind of attitude can go a long way, so can TOPS. Remember, the next time you are faced with a food decision, ask yourself, “Is taking care of ME the first step?” Exercise, and gaining insight into help available through TOPS will help me on my journey. We meet Tuesday evenings at 6:30 in the Undercroft of St. Stephen’s Church, Main Street, Pittsfield, NH. We are non-profit, and would love to see you. The Pittsfield Historical Society will hold its Annual Meeting on January 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Society’s headquarters at 13 Elm Street.



 

Retired Deputy Forest Fire Warden Ed Canfield was recently presented a Certificate of Merit from the State of New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development Division of Forests and Lands for his outstanding service for the State of New Hampshire for a period of 32 years. Forest Fire Warden Lenny Deane (right) and Pittsfield Fire Chief Gary Johnson (left) presented the certificate to Ed at the monthly meeting held at the Pittsfield Fire Department on December 7, 2009. The officers and members of  the Pittsfield Fire Department and Rescue Service would like to congratulate Ed and recognize him for his long and faithful service to the department and community.

American Legion Peterson-Cram Post 75 News


Our monthly raffle tickets are going fast; and there are still some tickets left for the monthly drawing that is held after your American Legion Peterson-Cram Post meeting the first Monday of each month. The tickets are $10.00 each and are good for five draws each and every month. To repeat, our tickets are going fast, if you want to purchase any, contact the Post Commander, Merrill Vaughan at 435-5207 or his cell phone, 344-0264.
