Up
Anna Goodell as Natalie and Michael Dodge as Chad perform
a scene from CBNA Theatre’s upcoming production of All Shook UP.
It’s the 1950s on a dreary day in a square, little Midwestern
town, when suddenly a mysterious roustabout rides into town on a
motorcycle and shakes things up in one magical day. CBNA
Theatre will share the magic with its production of All Shook Up
March 5 at 7 pm and March 6 at 2 pm and 7 pm in the Gerrish Gym on
the CBNA Campus. Inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis
Presley, written by Joe DiPietro, and loosely based on Shakespeare’s
Twelfth Night, All Shook Up is a toe-tapping, finger-snapping
evening of pure magic and fun.
Over fifty students are involved in bringing the production to the
stage including cast members seniors Kiersten Brown, Robert
Correa, Joshua Cunningham, Michael Dodge, Blake Frase,
Jennifer Mattson, Michael McCullock, Eric Rivera, and Katie
Tousignant; juniors Aleisha Ashe and Maggie Blake, who are
also co-choreographers, Anthony Carideo, Gavin Clark, Hannah Jones,
Anna Schonwald, and Heather Ward; sophomores Anna Goodell, Samantha
Lepicier, Kendall McGowan, Caitlyn Philbrick, Isaac Wilson and Emily

The Coe-Brown Northwood Academy
ChorusToPerform “Celebrate America” On NHPTV
Tim Janis, well known for his “Music with a Mission” has worked on
many philanthropic projects with artists such as Paul McCartney,
Billy Joel, Ray Charles, Andre Previn, and The New York
Philharmonic. He has also produced fund raising programs for PBS
with George Clooney and James Earl Jones.
Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, along with high school choirs from
across New Hampshire will perform with Tim Janis and his ensemble in
a new special called Celebrate America, created by Janis to
spotlight our nation’s youth and pull communities together in a
celebration of music that uplifts and inspires.
Celebrate America, which airs on
Friday, March 5th at 10:30pm, was taped at NHPTV in early October,
2009. Busses rolled in from across the state, pulling together
500 students from New Hampshire high school music programs.
Arriving well prepared and very professional, each choir was brought
into the station to record their performance for the broadcast.
The Coe-Brown Northwood Academy students did an exceptional job
singing “Danny Boy.” Student Michael Dodge said, “It was an honor to
be selected out of so many choruses. I have never been on television
it is cool to see how it all works.” Another student Jacob Brownell
said, “It was a privilege to work with arranger Tim Janis. It is
great to come to NHPTV for we all grew up watching PBS.” Student
Jessica Goudreault said, “I hope they can grasp the emotion of the
song and what it was trying to convey.”
Not only does Celebrate
America give our youth a life-changing opportunity, but it also
teaches children the importance of contributing to community through
the arts, as Celebrate America is also a fund raising event during
Public Television’s annual pledge drives.
The following schools
participated in Celebrate America at the NHPTV station: Coe-Brown
Northwood Academy, Winnacunnet High School, Bow High School,
Pinkerton High School, Nashua High School North, Londonderry High
School, Keene High School, Concord High School, Nashua High School
South, Manchester West High School, Hollis-Brookline High School,
Dover High School, Manchester High School, and Portsmouth High
School
NHPTV really put a lot of effort into creating this
special. It takes a lot of ‘behind the scenes’ effort to bring
this great opportunity for students together. I believe
the fabric of our nation is the strength found in our local
communities. We need to stay connected and committed with a
spirit of serving one another to the best of our abilities.” Janis
said.

Dean Linnell
Richard Dean Linnell died on February 5, 2010, at
Havenwood-Heritage Heights, in Concord, NH. He was 89.
