Foss Family Foundation Makes Donation To Pittsfield Middle High
School
The
Foss Family Foundation awarded the Pittsfield School District a
generous donation. A kitchen was installed in a classroom that
serves students with significant disabilities. The
students in this classroom now have the opportunity to learn
critical life skills such as meal planning and preparation,
laundry, and household responsibilities. The Pittsfield
School Board graciously accepted a gift of $20,000 to construct
a kitchen that meets all building codes. The students and
staff who will be using the kitchen are very grateful for the
donation. Mrs. Lois Foss, Mrs. Carol Foss Pike and her
husband, members of the Board of Trustees for the Foss
Foundation, members of the Pittsfield School Board,
administrators, and teachers enjoyed a ribbon-cutting ceremony
to commemorate the completion of the kitchen and to publicly
thank the Foss Foundation.
