Kids,
Books, And The Arts
The Chesley Memorial Library is proud
to announce that we received a “Kids, Books, and the Arts” grant
to fund a performance of The Wizard of Oz.
Join Dorothy in a classic adaptation of The Wonderful
Wizard of Oz presented by the Hampstead Stage Company. The
performance will be held at the Northwood Masonic Hall on
Saturday, July 16, at 2:00 p.m.
Dorothy Gale thinks she is lost
forever when a terrifying tornado crashes through Kansas and
whisks her far away to the magical Land of Oz. She must follow
the yellow brick road to Emerald City and find the wonderfully
mysterious Wizard of Oz. With her companions the Tin Woodman,
the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion whom she meets on the way,
Dorothy embarks on a strange and enchanting adventure to find
her way back home.
The performance is free and best
suited for ages five and up.
Funding for the Kids, Books and the
Arts event is provided by the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation,
CHILIS, Cogswell Benevolent Trust, and is supported in part by a
grant from the NH State Council on the Arts & the National
Endowment for the Arts as well as funds administered by the NH
State Library and provided by the Institute of Museum and
Library Services.
