Coe-Brown Announces Top Ten Graduates
Coe-Brown Northwood Academy is proud to announce the
top ten graduates for the Class of 2013.
The Valedictorian for the class of 2013 is Kayla Roberts, daughter
of Richard and Julie Roberts of Strafford. During her high school
career Kayla has been a member of the CBNA Cross Country, Spring
Track and Field, and Winter Track teams. She has also been president
of the National Honor Society, class treasurer, a member of the
National Latin Honor Society and a HOBY representative. Kayla has
been accepted to and will be attending Boston College where she
plans to pursue a degree in nursing.
The 2013 Salutatorian is Allison Barnes, daughter of Dwight and
Audrey Barnes of Deerfield. While at Coe-Brown, Allison has been a
member of the Project Search, FBLA, the National Spanish Honor
Society and Gymnastics. Allison also serves as treasurer of the
National Honor Society. She plans to attend the University of New
Hampshire in an undeclared major.
The remaining top ten graduates are listed in alphabetical order:
Marianna Barnhart, daughter of Daniel and Cheryl Barnhart of
Northwood, has been a member of the student government, Project
Search, and has been the co-president of CBNA’s chapter of the
International Thespian Society while attending CBNA. She plans to
study biochemistry at Emanuel College in Boston next year.
Casey Breen, daughter of Pamela Breen of Strafford, has been
involved in the National Spanish Honor Society, National Honor
Society and Peer Helpers while a student at Coe-Brown. Casey has
been accepted to the University of New Hampshire, the University of
New England, and the University of Vermont and plans to pursue a
career in nursing.
John Dylan DeButts, son of Mary DeButts of Northwood, is a member of
the National Honor Society, the National French Honor Society, and
Project Search, and is currently the president of the Spanish Honor
Society. He plans to attend the University of New Hampshire to
pursue a career in English teaching.
Katherine Forsythe, daughter of Susan and Jim Forsythe of Concord,
has been a member of CBNA’s Tennis team during her years at the
Academy. Katherine has also been active with Project
Search, National Spanish Honor Society and the National Honor
Society. She has been accepted to and will be attending Cornell
University with a biology and pre-med major.
Kylie Gagnon, daughter of Anthony and Joanne Gagnon of Barrington,
has participated in CBNA school life by being a member of the Pep
Band, Select Chorus, Jazz Band, Girls Show Choir, Girls Choir and
the International Thespian Society. She has been accepted to Gordon
College, Hofstra University and the University of New Hampshire.
Kylie plans to attend UNH to pursue a degree in music education.
Chelsea Hodges, daughter of Richard and Deborah Hodges of Strafford,
has been a member of the CBNA Women’s Soccer team as well as being a
class representative and member of Student Council, and the National
Honor Society. Chelsea will be attending the University of New
Hampshire in the fall to prepare for a degree in Mathematics
Education/Elementary Education.
Anna Kofer, daughter of Peggy and Chris Kofer of Strafford, has been
a member the National Honor Society serving as vice president this
year, the Student Council, also serving as vice president, Project
Search, the National French Honor Society and has been a member of
the CBNA Gymnastics team. She has been accepted to North Carolina
State University, the University of New Hampshire and Virginia Tech.
Anna will be attending Virginia Tech to pursue a degree in
engineering.
Henry Warburton, son of Jennifer Snow and Peter Warburton of
Strafford, has been a member of CBNA’s Outdoor Track, Indoor Track
and Cross Country teams, as well as participating in Jazz Band, Film
Club, Granite State Challenge, the National Honor Society and the
National French Honor Society. Henry is also a finalist in the
National Merit Scholarship Program. He has been accepted to
Brandeis University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the
University of Illinois – Urbana/Champaign and will be pursuing a
degree in physics.
In addition, the CBNA Class of 2013 has 119 honor graduates.
