Kids and their favorite grownups will love
the Northwood Drama Club’s production of Seussical Jr. Based on the
works of the one-and-only Dr. Seuss, this fantastical, magical,
hour-long musical extravaganza will be performed at the Northwood
Elementary School on November 5th and 6th 2013.
Oh, the places we’ll go! Join The Cat in the
Hat and Jojo as they ride the wave of a huge “think” adventure that
takes them from Whoville to Palm Beach. The faithful Horton
discovers Whoville, the home of Jojo, on a speck of dust and
protects it with all his might until it is taken from him and lost.
On his journey to find Whoville, Horton meets Mayzie La Bird and is
asked to sit on her egg while she takes a vacation. Hunters capture
Horton and the egg and take them to the traveling circus. Will
Horton find the Whos? Who will take care of Mayzie’s egg? As the
story moves from the Jungle of Nool to Circus McGurkus and the
invisible world of Whoville, some important lessons about helping
friends, keeping promises and never giving up shine through.
Audiences of all ages will enjoy this fast-paced production of
colorful characters, a myriad of musical styles, and a spectacular
set designed entirely by the students themselves!
Northwood Drama Club Advisor Becky Rush is
excited to direct this imaginative production. Seussical Jr. is an
ideal outing for the kid inside all of us. Tickets are for general
admission and seating, $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
Advance purchase is not available; tickets will only be sold the
evenings of the performances on November 5th and 6th. Doors open at
6:00pm and performances start at 6:30pm. For more information, call
