Gilmanton School PTA Annual Holiday Craft Fair

The Gilmanton School PTA will be holding its annual holiday craft fair on Saturday November 28th from 9AM until 3PM at the Gilmanton School on NH Rt 140.

The premise of this craft fair is homemade: homemade crafts, food, and more. The PTA is looking to help local crafters while stimulating the economy and giving back to our community. This craft fair has provided many local as well as non local crafters with the opportunity to share their talents with the general public and its a wonderful opportunity to browse all the amazing, unique homemade items that make for great gift giving ideas for loved ones! Some of our returning vendors are: On the Cusp Pottery, No Weare Else and Mountainside Creations & Collectibles.  Some of our new vendors are Heavenly Sent Herbs, Mom & I Crafts, Meadow’s Pond Soaps and Fenridge Farm.

The Gilmanton PTA will also be selling Kids Stuff Coupon Books for 25 dollars. In these coupon books, you will find hundreds of coupons for shopping, activities and food. You can learn more about them at

The Gilmanton School PTA is responsible for raising money so that we may supplement our students’ curriculum and enrich their educational experiences.  The following are just a few of the events we support:  field trips for all grades; the Naturalist in the Classroom; and the Artist-in-Residence program.  These activities are partially covered by the school budget, but are extremely important to our children’s educational enrichment.

Once again, the Boy Scouts of America and the Women’s auxiliary will be selling yummy food and baked goods.

Gilmanton Food Pantry And Thrift Shop News

The Thrift Shop is featuring an all men’s clothing at 50% off sale and as a special men’s tops are 2 for $1.00.  This sale will continue through the end of November.  Now would be a good time to stock up on fall and winter needs or just find something special.

One of the endeavors of The Gilmanton Food Pantry is to help provide children’s winter clothing to Gilmanton families who are struggling.  We are collecting new or gently used winter hats, mittens, scarves, coats, boots and snow pants.  If you can help, clothing and or money for the purchase of winter clothes can be brought to the Pantry in Gilmanton Iron Works on Wednesday’s from 3 - 6 p.m. or Saturday’s from 2 - 4 p.m.

In preparation for holiday food baskets, we will also be accepting donations of non perishable items such as stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, canned vegetables and fruit, bottled juice, sugar, coffee, cocoa, breakfast muffin mix, pickles, olives, cake mixes, and frosting.  Donations of money to purchase butter/margarine, milk, eggs, fresh fruit, potatoes, and onions are greatly appreciated.  Turkeys or ham are the highlight of our holiday baskets, thus a donation of a turkey or a ham would be a most generous donation and greatly appreciated.

Non-perishable food items may be dropped off at the Academy building, the Year Round Library, and at the Pantry during open hours.  Monetary donations may be brought to the Pantry or mailed to  Post Office Box 16, Gilmanton, N. H. 03237.
