In the past, New Hampshire was lucky to have Carol Shea-Porter in
Congress for four years and we need her back! During her four years
in Congress, Carol brought construction and jobs to the Portsmouth
Naval Shipyard, helped secure funding to rebuild the Memorial Bridge
in Portsmouth, increased Pell grants for students, got funding for
community health centers and grants for police and firefighter.
Carol believes in fairness for all, not just folks with money. She
does not take PAC money, so no one will own her and she will be
there for New Hampshire folks totally. Carol will continue doing her
strong work with creating local jobs. Carol does not want any more
shipping of jobs overseas.
Carol also believes strongly in developing better infrastructure.
This would mean better work on our roads, bridges, rail, and power
grid. Carol sees the importance of a clean environment and has
worked for clean air and water, safe food, and a clean energy plan
for the future.
Carol’s husband was in the military and she has done great work for
our vets in the past, including getting greater access to in-state
medical care for New Hampshire vets and this will continue if
elected, which we need in New Hampshire for sure!
We need Carol Shea-Porter back. Vote for Carol in November!

We are writing to express our support of Jane Cormier as a
candidate. One just has to see her campaign signs to know that, not
only is she a conservative, she is proud of it and is willing to
announce it on her signs to all the voters. This shows a willingness
for transparency about her ideals. Refreshing to say the least!
We have met Jane on several occasions and have asked about
everything we are concerned with in NH. Most important to us - will
she fight the fight against higher taxes, out of control spending
and regulations? Is she knowledgeable not only about NH, but the
National issues that would affect NH residents? Our list of
questions was long.
Jane answered our questions with honesty, with deep knowledge, and
is committed to doing the job we all need her to do. We wanted to
know that Jane would be worthy of our vote and we believe she is.
We encourage you to please vote for Jane Cormier in November if you
are looking for a true citizen representative.

I’m glad I’m not a Democrat. If I were, I’d be ashamed.
Ashamed that the Democratic State Committee, chaired by Raymond
Buckley, is running a television ad on WMUR that says “Ovide
Lamontagne would literally make abortion a crime…..”
I’d be ashamed because I know that abortion law is Federal law and
cannot be superseded by any Governor, whether his name is Lynch,
LaMontagne or Hassan. I’d be ashamed to think that the voters of New
Hampshire are so stupid as to believe this ad.
New Hampshire voters are not stupid. New Hampshire voters know that
as Governor, Ovide LaMontagne cannot make abortion illegal.
But the NH Democratic Party thinks New Hampshire voters are stupid.
I’m not stupid. I’m not a Democrat either.

Taxes, Fiscal Discipline And Prosperity
How does it help you if your “rich” neighbor’s taxes increase? Does
it put any money in your bank account? Does it make your next
fill-up cheaper? Let’s stop the class warfare, shall we Mr. Obama
and Ms. Shea-Porter.
Our country has a mushrooming budget deficit because this
administration in Washington continues to borrow and print money it
doesn’t have, not because we aren’t taxing “the rich” enough.
Besides, how does raising taxes fix the underlying problem that
created this deficit? That being our government spends more money
than it receives. If we simply raise taxes rather than control
spending, then we will only be discussing this issue again at an
even higher deficit level. In the history of the world, no country
has ever taxed its way to prosperity.
We need principled representatives in Washington to fix our spending
problem. Mitt Romney has a long track record of balancing
budgets while Governor of Massachusetts and closing deficits like he
did in the bankrupt 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
Republican Frank Guinta has shown similar leadership as Manchester’s
Mayor when he cut spending and reduced the city’s borrowing, while
working with eleven Democrats and just two Republicans on the Board
of Aldermen.
Carol Shea-Porter stated “I’m not going to pretend to work with
Republicans.” This divisive attitude just won’t get us where
we need to go. She has no economic vision for our country or
State and is following in the path of class warfare espoused by our
Divider-in-Chief. She supports more loans to companies like Solyndra
that have squandered billions under Obama’s failed vision of green
energy now.
Our path forward is clear. Fiscal discipline and prosperity
with Rep. Guinta or more of the same as we sink deeper into the
Shea-Porter Swamp of international bankruptcy.

Please join me in voting for Deb Chase in Belknap County’s 5th
District. She will help us restore sanity to our state government.
Deb is the Vice-Chair of the Gilmanton Democratic Committee, a
retired educator, and an active, and respected community member. As
a proud Democrat, Deb is a supporter of education, woman’s rights,
religious freedom, and everything needed to make our communities and
state better for us all. She is a firm believer that progress only
comes through bipartisanship and compromise. Her opponents have a
different outlook.
Dick Burchell of Gilmanton, has stated that he will follow the lead
of our former state rep. in capitulating to the teabagger/free state
agenda. He is no main-stream Republican. This tells much about his
character. He will push the teabagger agenda, further destroying our
state. No local education funding, no roads and bridges repaired,
women, gays and lesbians subject to teabagger religious mandates,
UNH left to wither and die, and of course, higher property taxes.
Steve Holmes of Alton has an eye opening website
(stevedistrict5.com)! He will continue the teabagger agenda with the
added vigor of a right-wing religious zealot. These beliefs are
smothering our state and nation. If you’ve enjoyed the public
service layoffs, broken roads and bridges, high property taxes,
mountainous student loan debts, and of course the war on women, then
Steve and Dick are your guys. If you’d like an honest, open
approach, one that includes tolerance of other views, to fixing our
state and community problems then Deb Chase is your candidate.

Voters in Alton and Gilmanton:
Alton and Gilmanton will be electing a total of three
representatives, two from District 5 and one representing Alton,
Barnstead and Gilmanton. As we learned in the 2010 election, the
political views of the candidates are very important in guiding the
future of New Hampshire.
The three Republicans (Holmes, Burdick and Cormier) running for
office are extreme conservatives by their own admissions. They
have rigid social agendas, such as shrinking government without
regard for the consequences, cutting the state budget and pushing
state-mandated financial obligations on local communities (thereby
raising your taxes), imposing right to work on our laborers,
interfering with women’s rights, repealing gay marriage, cutting
funding for public education, including UNH, limiting healthcare
options by refusing to accept federal funds for Medicaid, and on and
on.
Remember what happened in Concord for the past two years under
Speaker O’Brien. His party was mean-spirited and divisive, carrying
out a nationally directed agenda for extreme conservatives. Do
you want a repetition of the same thing? That’s not the New
Hampshire we know.
The three Democrats (Chase, Henry and Smith) want to focus on
restoring our economy, strengthening our government to provide
essential social services, supporting our schools and protecting
individual rights. They put people, not ideology, first.
They want to work together with others to achieve consensus and get
us back on the right track.
To promote healthy cooperation and good governance, please vote for
Democrats to represent our area: Deb Chase, Jean Henry and Roberta
“Tess” Smith.
