Food Pantry And Thrift Shop News
Beginning Monday, August 1st and
continuing thru Saturday, August 20th, we will be having a store
wide Clearance Sale. All Adult clothing, shoes and accessories
will be on sale for $1.00 per item. All Children and Infant
clothing, shoes and accessories will be 50¢. Every item in the
Thrift Shop that is wearable will be included in the Clearance Sale.
We have many name brand items and items which still have the
original tags attached. There are still many warm days left to
the summer and remember, back to school usually starts with many
warm days. So come on by and get some great stuff for the
family at a really great price!!
Our yard sale was a great
success and the GCC Food Pantry and Thrift Shop committee would like
to extend a really big Thank You to all who helped us out.
Whether you made a donation, helped set up or break things down,
worked the day of the sale or came by and made a purchase; we thank
you very much. It is because of all the great volunteers and
those who donate that we are able to do so much for those in need in
our community.
The GCC Food Pantry and Thrift Shop committee,
with help from the Gilmanton School, will again this year be
assisting families in need with school supplies. If you have a
child or children in either Gilmanton School or Gilford High School
and you are in need of assistance with supplies for the upcoming
school year, please contact Beth Lavin at 267-1934, or Jane Sisti at
364-7437. You can also sign-up at the Food Pantry during our
regular business hours.
Supplies are low in our food pantry, so
as always, if you would like to make a donation to the Food Pantry
you can drop your donations off during our regular business
hours. There are also collection bins at the Academy Building
in the Corners, the Year Round Library and at the Iron Works Market.
We accept non-perishable food items for our pantry. If you
wish to make a monetary donation you can mail it to GCC Food Pantry
and Thrift Shop, PO Box 6, Gilmanton IW, NH 03837.
If you are interested in volunteering at the pantry and thrift shop,
please contact Sharon Barton at 267-5934 or Jane Sisti at 364-7437.
We are always looking for people to work during business hours or
upstairs in our sorting area. You must be 18 years old to work
in the shop.
We are located on Route 140 in Gilmanton Iron Works, across from
the Iron Works Market. We are open on Monday 9am-1pm,
Wednesday 3pm-7pm, and Saturday 10am-2pm. Parking is located
