Letter To The Editor

Recently, NH Republican Chair, Jeanie Forrester stated “Democrats hate Trump more than they love our country.” She went on to accuse Democrats in Congress of obstruction.

What is that woman smoking?! Democrats are the minority party in both Houses. I think Republicans are parroting the mantra of Dems from 2010 thru 2016. Remember? The current face of this Republican party obstructed everything from healthcare reform to appointment of Supreme Court Justice (blocked for 9 months). About 500 bills were given thumbs down. Their mantra “Make Obama a one term president.”

The most egregious obstruction: In 2012 AND 2013 President Obama asked Republicans (majority in both Houses) to reduce corporate income tax to 25%. They said No. No. Republicans own complete responsibility for keeping trillions of dollars offshore for SIX years, thus untaxable in US, unavailable for investment in US at the time we needed it most.

Hate Trump? I believe millions of women and men who have been molested, raped and/or sexually harassed feel their stomachs turn at the mere sight of this narcissistic, self-aggrandizing cad. Oh, and one more thing, I love my country more than I hate Trump. Especially that “right to freedom of political speech” thingy.
