Epsom Food Pantry

Hi everybody!  Well, another week of questionable weather. Today is icy so I stayed home.

We closed one day based on weather reports and it was a lovely day. Sorry!  But remember, if you need the food, you call me and I will help out. We are still receiving money from Bob Hahn’s passing.  We also got a wonderful check from Davis Fuels and SSPC of Pittsfield.  Thank you so very much.

One thing we could use, if you mothers go shopping, is finger food for kids. We try and send over such food to Epsom Central for their backpack project. What this is, is a package they get together for the weekends for the kids whose household is short on funds. So it is food they can open up and eat, without using the stove, if they are the little ones. Microwave items are good.

Again, if you know anyone or a family who needs our help and are too proud to ask, let me know and I will try and help them.

We have some good looking meat Liz ordered for us last week and we were pleased to get it as we were short. I do go to Market Basket and take advantage of their sales. They are willing to put beef up in one pound packages and that is what we need.

Pleased to report our heater is up and running.Stay warm and drive carefully.

Until next time,

Priscilla

Letter To The Editor

As a Metrocast cable customer, I was shocked yesterday to see our autopay went to a company called AMERICAN BROADBAND. As a welcome gift, AMERICAN BROADBAND increased the charge for our no frills cabletv/internet service by $12.60 per month. That’s $151.20 per year from just one “no frills” household!

I can’t hardly wait to see what “frills” AMERICAN BROADBAND will be taking away from us now that it has been decreed we no longer have net neutrality.
