Celebrate the warmth of friendship by joining other active
seniors at the Pittsfield Area Senior Center for their weekly
and monthly events. All seniors are welcome to participate
in the activities and have lunch at noon. (Please call
ahead to reserve your lunch at 435-8482). There is a $2.00
suggested donation for lunch.
Daily activities include bingo,
games, painting lessons and gentle yoga. Upcoming special
events will include a “Fall Prevention” luncheon on Thursday,
January 13th at noon. Bill York of Live Free Home Health
Care, will share practical suggestions for a safe and
comfortable home.
On Tuesday, January 18th it will be bingo
from 10 am to 11:30 am. At noon, Anita Oelfke, Service
Links Medicare Specialist will be there during lunch. Mark
your calendars!
The American Legion Post 112,
Short Falls Road, Epsom is sponsoring a Meatloaf Dinner on
Saturday, January 22, 2011, 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. (Storm Date is
Sunday, January 23rd)
Donations are: $7/ adults;$3/children
6-12; and under 6 free.
Dinner includes: Meatloaf,
potatoes, vegetables, salad, beverage and homemade desserts.
There will be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle with proceed to
benefit Post 112 community activities.

SAU #53 Preschool Child Screening
The school districts of SAU
#53 will be sponsoring a Preschool Child Screening for children
living in the SAU #53 districts of Allenstown, Chichester,
Deerfield, Epsom and Pembroke on January 19th (snow date January
26th) at the Allenstown Elementary School.
The Preschool
Child Screening is designed to locate children, three to six
years of age, who have special needs that may require special
attention. Professionals will screen overall development
in motor, cognitive and language skills.
Parents, who would
like their child to be screened, can call Christine Howe at
485-4474, ext. 243 to make an appointment.
