Chichester Town Library News
Saturday, June 2nd, is
the next Down Cellar Used Book Sale. The themes for this sale
are “Vacations, Vacation Planning and Baseball!” The sale
begins at 8 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m. Like the tide, we
have an ebb and flow to the number and types of books we receive.
This past month, we have had an extensive influx of books on
baseball, particularly the Red Sox, and also science fiction books.
We could use donations of other kinds of books, especially fiction.
Remember the library when you are doing your Spring cleaning,
please. As a reminder, the Down Cellar area will be closed to the
public on Thursday and Friday preceding the sale, as volunteers
prepare for it.
The Knitting Circle will
be meeting Wednesday, at 3:30 p.m.
Monday, June 4th, the
Down Cellar Poets are scheduled to meet at 7 p.m.
The Evening Book Club is
scheduled to meet Wednesday, June 6th, at 7 p.m.
The library now has a
pass to the Shaker Museum in Canterbury for the use of patrons.
