Chichester Town Library
News
This week is National
Library Week. Let’s celebrate it! There is a lot going
on.
The second and third
events in the PJ Mask series are planned for this week. Tonight, at
6 p.m., the kids will be making their own masks of these
superheroes. Monday, the 16th, there will be a game night
focusing on them. That will also start at 6 p.m. What
fun!
Save the date of Monday,
April 23rd for the fourth PJ Mask event, when there will even be a
costume night at the library, also at 6 p.m.
The Evening Book Club
meets tonight, the 11th, at 7 p.m.
The Knitting Circle
continues to meet on Wednesday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. Join
others with busy hands making fun and beautiful projects.
Beginners are always welcome.
Pre-school Story and
Crafts meets tomorrow, Thursday the 12th, at 10:30 a.m. This
is such a great activity for young ones, as they enjoy storytelling
and activities. Snacks are also included.
Lovers of the Chichester
Library, the volunteer arm of the library, meets Monday, April 16th,
at 7 p.m. Any and all who would like to help bring these
activities to life and enhance participants’ enjoyment, are welcome.
April 18th, next
Wednesday, Rich Araldi will entertain us with a vibraphone concert
at the Grange at 7 p.m. (See the article in last week’s Sun).
This will be a terrific opportunity to hear an instrument not often
included in bands or orchestras, although it is a member of the
percussion unit. This program is free to the public, and light
refreshments will be served.
The Down Cellar Writers’
Group will return to the fourth Monday of the month, this month.
Jimmy Pappas will be moderating.
Thanks to all those who
came to the first, planned book sale of this year. These sales
have a double-benefit, at least, since they help fund special
programming and activities of the library, as well as provide
affordable reading material to participants. Next month’s book
sale is always exciting, as it includes our annual plants and
gardening sale. It is scheduled for Saturday, May 5th.

CCS Playground Draft
Master Plan
Help provide your input!
Chichester Central School is in the process of creating and
accepting a master plan for redesigning our playground space in
order to create a safe and enjoyable area that all students can
equally access.
Take a moment and view
our first draft of this master plan on our website and provide some
input for the school to consider. Thank you for being part of
this process as this will be a playground for generations of
Chichester students and residents to use into the future.
