Chichester Town Library News
Preschool Story Hour
meets tomorrow, October 4th, at 10:45 a.m.
On Friday night, October
5th at 7 p.m. at the Grange, there will be a great program to learn
of our flying creatures of the night. The New Hampshire
Audubon is bringing their program entitled “Wings of the Night: Owls
and Bats” to Chichester. Come to learn about these special
animals and how they navigate and live. There will even be a
live owl to enhance the presentation.
Then, on Saturday
morning, October 6th, there are two, wonderful sales going on at the
library. First, is the October Down Cellar Used Book Sale,
from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Although the themes are Halloween and
harvest time, there are so many books on almost all areas of
interest, that buyers can usually find something(s) they can’t do
without. For example, we have had hundreds of science
fiction/fantasy books donated since the last sale. In
addition, we will continue with the half-price sale of collectible
and vintage books (unless otherwise noted), since there has been
such a lot of interest generated in them.
Simultaneously with the
used book sale, there will be a sale of vintage and collectible
items on the library grounds. Vendors wishing to participate
need to contact the library to reserve a 10’x10’ space, in which
they can set up a pop-up tent and table/display. There is a $5
fee to vendors. Space is limited and there is no rain date.
Monday, October 8th, the
library will be closed for Columbus Day.
Monday, October 8th at 4
p.m. is the Board of Trustees meeting. These meetings are open
to the public.
