Pepper Steak and
Oven-Browned Potatoes is the fare for the Community Supper on April
12 at the Chichester United Methodist Parish Hall at 6 p.m. These
suppers are free and open to the public. Donations are accepted and
used toward food for future suppers.
Ed Pape will
present a talk, “What to Look for in Your Barn,” on Saturday, April
22, at 7 p.m. in the Chichester Grange Hall, 54 Main Street. This
program is hosted by the Chichester Town Library, Chichester
Heritage Commission, and the Chichester Historical Society. A series
of photos of Chichester barns will be included at the end of the
talk for the audience to identify. For more information call Lucille

Happy Birthday to Levi Cooper on April 4 and Angela Millette on
April 7.
It’s not too early to be putting aside items
for the Historical Society’s yearly yard sale. The sale is scheduled
for Saturday, May 20th, at the museum building on 49 Main Street.
Donations will be accepted through Tuesday, May 16th. Contact

The Community Design
Charrette Team has a model of the proposed “Greenspace” and Safety
Crosswalk Project on display at the town library. Handouts about the
project will be available. Work on the “Greenspace” will start later
in the spring and continue throughout the summer months. Volunteers

SAVE THE DATE
The CCS PTO Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be on
Saturday April 15th at 10:00am SHARP. Each year the PTO enjoys
seeing Chichester families with children pre-k - 5th grade. The
event will be held rain or shine. See you there!

Chichester Town Library
News
Thursday mornings at 10:30 is the Pre-school/Kindergarten
Story and Craft Hour. This group follows the school calendar
for meetings.
Tomorrow at noon is the meeting of the Down Cellar
Readers monthly book club. Bring a lunch and enjoy the group
and the discussion.
Monday, April 10th at 4 p.m. is the scheduled
meeting of the library’s Board of Trustees. The public is
welcome to bring their concerns and suggestions to the Board’s
attention.
Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. is Toddler Time, a program
for babies and children under the age of 3.
Wednesday,
April 12th at 7 p.m. is the Evening Book Club.
The library is
looking forward to its first, official Down Under Used Book Sale of
the 2017 season on April 22nd. We have so many books, there is
no room to accommodate them all. To help resolve this, the
library will be offering the reference books on the first three
shelves of that section for free.
Upcoming programs
that will be of interest to you include: “What to Look for in Your
Barn,” presented by Ed Pape and sponsored by the Chichester Heritage
Commission and the Historical Society, as well as the library.
It will be held on Saturday April 22nd at 7 p.m. at the Grange Hall.
Also of interest, particularly to the senior citizens of Chichester,
is a Pancake Breakfast being offered by the Teen Advisory Group.
This yummy program is scheduled for Saturday, April 29th.
Chichester Old Home Day
2017
Our meeting on 3/28 showed great promise. Everyone is
organizing and working diligently to make this a great event.
Volunteers to help are still welcome and greatly appreciated into
this positive upbeat committee. So, please join us at our next
meeting on 4/19, 6:30 pm at the Grange Hall.

Sharp we will have a Focus on Family 5K Fun Run. This
run is the Focus on Family Fun Run. Families are encouraged to
participate, either as a group or on their own, however parents are
ultimately responsible for their own children. This is a community
sponsored and minded event, and is not part of any official 5K race
associations or organizations. Please come out and run this race
with your friends and neighbors, then enjoy the rest of the
Chichester Old Home Day activities! Good luck to all!
