Town Library News
Hopefully, our young readers have already signed up for the Summer
Reading Program; but, if not, bring them in to the Library to do so.
“On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!” has started! The first activity
is on this Friday (June 24th), when a Mario Kart Tournament will be
held at 7 p.m. for those who have registered. This activity
has a “gaming” component and, therefore, should appeal to many of
the participants.
This is quickly followed on Monday, June 27th, with “Kids Dance with
Abby.” Abby Pinckney will be leading this fun and creative
version of dance and dance-related games. It does require sign-up,
so please do so soon. The younger kids, 5-7 years old, will be
meeting between 3:30 and 4 p.m., while the older kids, 8-12 years
old, will be meeting between 4-4:45 p.m.
Monday, June 27th, will be when the
Photography Group meets at 6:30 p.m. and the Down Cellar Writers
meet at 7 p.m.
Crafters have planned a special session on Wednesday, June 29th, at
6:30 p.m., when Diane Mann will be teaching how to weave a sea grass
basket. There is a charge for materials and sign-up is
required, so please call the Library at 798-5613 or e-mail at
[email protected], as soon
as possible.
The Knitting Circle will continue to meet on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.
New members are always welcome!
