A benefit Dance is being held on Friday, August 7th, from 7-11 p.m. at the Epsom Elks to help raise money for medical expenses for Baby Hayden. Hayden was born with Down Syndrome and a Congenital Heart Condition (full Atrioventricular Canal Defect) that will require her in the next month or so to have open heart surgery. Medical expenses add up quickly even for this hard working family. Please help out this local family in this difficult time. Mike and Caitlin Shultz would greatly appreciate it. There will be a DJ, raffles, appetizers and a cash bar. Tickets are $20 each or $35 for a couple. Please contact Tammy Montambeault for more information or to purchase tickets [email protected] or 566-5771.

Chichester Grange meets only once during the month of August. That meeting will be August 19.

Chichester Town Library News

A reminder that the participants of the Summer Reading Program will meet at the Chichester Police Station at 7 p.m tonight.

Tomorrow, July 30th, the Summer Story, Activity and Craft group will meet at 10:30 a.m.

Don’t forget the annual Lego Derby on Monday, August 3rd at 7 p.m., as part of the Summer Reading Program, the will be held.

Down Cellar Poets will meet on August 3rd at 7 p.m.  at the Library.

Make sure you have marked your calendar for Wednesday, August 12th at 7 p.m. when Big Joe, the storyteller, will come to the Grange with his stories from around the world about “small and unlikely heroes who overcome great obstacles.”  This is a wonderful addition to the Summer Reading Program and is open to people of all ages.  This is a great way to spend a summer evening with the family.

The Food Bank still needs “child-friendly” foods, such as snack-cups, small bags of snacks, microwaveable and child-size macaroni and cheese or other pastas, juice boxes, etc.  A big thank-you to all who have contributed, thus far.  It is truly appreciated.

The summer raffle has recently been enhanced by the addition of a Victorian Bradley doll.  This collectible is quite the lady!  Please come into the Library to see all that is being offered.  It’s a great package.
