Out Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News

There are many good people on this earth, and many of them donate to
The Attic. Your response to the homeless needs has been incredible:
McDonald’s gift certificates, new hats, gloves, mittens for
children, socks and toiletries. The lady that is coordinating the
effort was so moved by your generosity, they are having a Christmas
party for the Concord homeless on December 27th. A little late, but
that is when it all will come together.
If you find you are not using any type of winter clothing, we can
use it. Also, a gentleman from Chichester does a prison ministry
and can use men’s pants, shirts (for job interviews when someone is
going back into society) and tee shirts. If you want items to go to
him, just mark the bag accordingly and we will get the items to
him.
We are located on Rte. 28 North, Chichester. Mon. 8-12; Tues. &
Thurs. 8-4; Wed. 11-4 & Sat. 10-4. CLOSED the Sat. after Christmas.
247-7191.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!
Chichester Town Library News
Congratulations to Rivkah Valley who won the Samantha Parkington
American Girl doll! Rivkah was present at the Winter Party and her
delight was enjoyed by all of the adult participants. Other hopeful
attendees were able to select a book to help lessen their
disappointment. But, a good time was still had by all who came.
There were an abundance of refreshments, treats for the kids, great
holiday music and even a surprise visit from Santa! Thanks to all
who made it possible.
The Library will be closed tonight, Christmas Eve, as well as
tomorrow, Christmas Day. The same will hold true for New Year’s Eve
and New Year’s—the Library will be closed. We hope that all have
safe and enjoyable holidays, including snuggling up and reading a
book!
The Lego Club and those who are interested in having fun with Legos
will meet on Monday, December 29th from 3-5 p.m. This is a great
time for the kids to get together for a vacation activity.
The Craft Club is expected to meet on December 29th at 6:30.
Save the afternoon of January 11th for a presentation by the Pontine
Theatre of “A Winter’s Tale” at the Grange, starting at 1 p.m.
This will be a great time for the community to get together and
enjoy each other’s company. Watch for more information on this in a
coming installment.
