Chichester Grange will be having a “Meet the Candidates Night” on
Thursday, October 11, at 7 pm at the Grange/Town Hall. We hope to
see a large turn-out of citizens who want to meet the folks running
for state offices in the November election.
Thanks to the continued effort of a dedicated group of volunteers, a
generous donation from the CYA, and an excellent bid, the major
element of the Carpenter Park project is about to begin.
Merrill Construction was the successful bidder for the contract.
Frank Merrill plans to begin work on Monday, September 17 and to be
complete by November 15. Before beginning work, Frank will separate
the work area from the active fields with plastic fencing. The park
may be closed during work hours since there will be heavy equipment
and trucking in the area of the trail, pavilion, and driveway. More
details will be released after they are worked out.
