Chichester Grange hopes everyone enjoyed the Penny Sale on June 23.
Thanks to you we were able to raise another $120 to go toward the
Heritage Commission’s window pane project. Our goal is to be able to
sponsor a whole window, so look for another Penny Sale sometime this
fall.
Thanks very much to our door prize donors: Danis Barber Shop on
Route 28 – a planter chair and a gift certificate; Sergeant’s Barber
Shop on Route 4 – a gift certificate; Journey’s End Maple Farm – a
glass bottle of maple syrup. Special thanks to Frekey’s Dairy Freeze
for their donation of ice cream and fixings for the ice cream
sundaes.
The Chichester Youth Association will hold its next meeting on
Sunday, July 15th, at the Town Hall at 6 pm.

Hall on July 15th at 6 pm.
Monday, July 9, is the day to pack your picnic basket, grab a chair,
and head for Thunder Bridge for the Chichester Historical Society’s
annual picnic at the Bridge. The event begins at 6:30 pm. There will
be beverages and desserts to complement your picnic food. View the
artifacts of the old Ordway Mill and visit with friends and
neighbors at a historic location close to home.
Happy Birthday to Derek Duford on July 6.

The next set of windows is back in the Grange/Town Hall. Now the
back and the west side of the building are complete. The Heritage
Commission has enough money in hand for four more windows. After
that they will have to apply for another grant to finish the job.
Donations are still being accepted. Contact Lucille Noel or any of
the Heritage Commission members.
Out Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News
Submitted By Carol Hendee
Baby Threads was very fortunate once again. A group of people were
looking for a project to benefit a volunteer organization. They
found the Baby Threads website and liked the fact that Baby Threads
is 100% volunteer and the goods the Attic sells to fund Baby Threads
are 100% from donations. I received a very large box from this group
which had beautiful crib-size fleece blankets for use in the baby
layette bags. We are very thankful for their time and talent. We
could use some new products for the layette bags (1/2 a year is
already gone and the supplies are running low.)
Infant diapers, baby wash, baby lotion and new infant onesies will
be put to good use. If you drop something off, please say or include
a note that it is for Baby Threads.
For the Attic, we could sell anything summer related; bikes, play
balls, things for little kids to ride on or push, baseballs,
basketballs, footballs, any sport related item. Little girls
swimsuits are also needed.
We could use soup bowls or mugs. We have plates by the dozen and not
a soup bowl in the shop.
We do have a small air conditioner so it’s not too hot in the shop
when it’s 90 or above outside!
Come on in at 345 Suncook Valley Highway, Chichester on Mon. 8-12,
Tues. and Thurs. 8-4, Wed. 11-4 and Sat. 10-4. Give us a call at
247-7191.
