at your mailbox on Saturday, May 14, 2011. The food donations will
be collected when the Epsom mail carrier delivers your mail that
day. This food drive is an important source of supply for our local
food pantry, so please make an effort to participate.
Chichester will be participating in the community-based “Plant an
Extra Row” program. The idea is to plant an extra row of something
in your garden, and, when it matures, donate the produce to the
Chichester Food Pantry.
The Chichester Food Pantry
would like to thank everyone who donated food, paper products, or
money to the pantry during the month of April.

Out Of
The Attic Thrift Shop News Submitted By: Carol Hendee
Now
for some better news following the sad news of our Laconia shop’s
closing. The fine volunteers from Laconia will be coming to
Chichester, starting this week, to open the store on Fridays.
It will be open 11-4. Please stop in and welcome the new-to-us
volunteers!
Also, we will be having an outside sale on
Saturday, May 21st featuring some bigger items from the Laconia
location. Details next week.
We could use some
volunteer help delivering what we call “yellow bags” to yellow
Planet Aid receptacles. There is one by the bakery near Blue
Seal and one at an auto shop just down the road from us on the way
to Pittsfield.
These are white trash bags, relatively
light, that have ripped and stained items that are made from
material that can’t be used as rags (ex: polyester does not soak up
oil). Planet Aid sells the material by the ton and does good
charitable work with the proceeds. So please stop by.
Any “yellow bag” delivery will help.
We are at 345 Suncook Valley
Hwy, Chichester Tues. and Thurs. 8-4, Wed. and Fri. 11-4 and Sat.
10-4.
Reminder For Saltwater Anglers
Saltwater anglers heading for the
coast this spring should be aware that as of January 1, 2011, all
persons over 16 years, fishing in coastal and estuarine waters of NH
need to purchase a NH saltwater recreational fishing license.
The license costs $16.00 for both residents and nonresidents.
Anglers fishing from a state licensed charter or party boat do
not need to purchase a saltwater license to fish from those boats,
but do need them when they are fishing from shore or on a private
boat.
To obtain a saltwater license, freshwater fishing license
or hunting license, see the Chichester Town Clerk. The Clerk
also registers your boat.
