The Capital Region Food Program Holiday Basket
Project will be on December 22, 2011. All interested residents must
complete an application form by November 23, 2011 at the Town Office
during regular business hours.
The Chichester Town Pantry would like to thank the
following people who donated food and items separate from the food
drive: Diane Clattenburg, Katie Jo Cummings and her cousin Trianna
and Curves of Epsom. Donna Chagnon would like to thank everyone who
contributed and helped with the Scouting for Food Drive, especially
the young men who helped with the boxes at the end of the day and
the sorters, Linda and Gail.
The Chichester Town Library has renewed the Ancestry
Library Edition Software. You can utilize this software from your
own computer. Come into the library and see Lisa and she will give
you the password. The library has to pay for this service annually.
We need our Patrons to use it so the library will continue to offer
the software.
Chichester Grange will hold its December 7th
Planning Meeting at the home of Hannah West on Depot Road instead of
at the Grange Hall. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
Out Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News
Submitted By Carol Hendee
The Attic will be closed for Thanksgiving. Since
that is the last Thursday of the month, we will have our 1/2 price
sale on Saturday, November 26th. Everything in the store will be 1/2
price, including Christmas items. If you are looking for glassware
or Christmas trees, please ask at the desk. We do not have room to
display everything. If you need a particular item, also ask and we
will check our inventory.
Items most requested this week are crock pots with
removable liners and flannel sheets for Queen or King size beds. If
you can donate one of these items, we do have buyers.
So come see us (and our new sign; thanks Dave!) on
Rte 28 near the Pittsfield line. We are open Mon. 8-12, Tues. and
Thurs. 8-4, Wed. 11-4, and Sat. 10-4. You can also call us at
707-7577 or 247-7191.
Ho! Ho! Ho!
The Chichester Police and The Chichester Police
Association are once again sponsoring the Secret Santa Program for
needy Chichester residents. We will be accepting applications until
December 16, 2011. Applications may be picked up at the Chichester
Police Department.
If you are aware of a family who needs assistance,
please make the police department aware. If anyone would like to
volunteer to be an elf and do shopping or wrapping or both, please
call the police department at 798-4911. If anyone would like to make
monetary donations, please make checks out to the Chichester Police
Association.
This program is based on need and then we try to
make smiles appear with surprises from Santa. Once again, we wish to
say Thank you for all your continued support to this most worthwhile
program.
