The Chichester Old Home Day Committee will meet on Tuesday,
September 28, at 7 p.m. at the home of Carol Frekey-Harkness.
New faces are always welcome.
Thanks to everyone who voted in or officiated at the Primary
Election on September 14. There were 625 voters, twelve of whom
were voting for the first time.
Did you know that in a primary election every voter must be
accounted for in every race, even if that voter left a section
blank? The sixteen volunteer vote counters worked very hard
after the polls closed to make those numbers balance.
Looking for a family Halloween event? Drive to “Trunk or
Treating” at Carpenter Park on Saturday, October 30 at 4 p.m.
Decorate your car trunk with a Halloween theme and bring some
Halloween treats. Once the cars are set up, children can go from
car to car “trunk or treating” in costume. There will be punch
and popcorn and perhaps prizes for the best decorated trunk.
Carved pumpkins can be brought to display and be lighted up at
dusk. The festivities should wrap up by 6:30 p.m. The Old Home
Day Committee is planning this event as a public service.
Chichester Grange will be holding a Meet the Candidates
Night on Thursday, October 14. Please mark your calendar and

Please remember we cannot accept TVs. One was left outside
the building, which is a double no-no. Items should only be
delivered when the store is open-not left outside to get wet and
ruined. We love your donations and you can help us sort by
including a note as to what size the sheets, blankets, and
curtains are. We can get them out for sale faster.
It’s fall clothing time and we do need little boys sizes 2-5
clothes. We are also low on Halloween costumes. We do have a
good supply of videos and books for your indoor down time.
Thank you so much for your support; it is truly appreciated.
We are at 345 Suncook Valley Hgwy., Tues. and Thurs., 8-4;
Wed., 11-4; and Sat., 10-4.
If you want to put in a request for our Wish List, please
call 435-9339 and we will see if we have what you need.
