Letter to the Editor:
Chichester residents – are you upset
about high taxes? As a candidate for the NH House, I keep
hearing two things from both Democrats and Republicans.
First, they are upset at the constant tax increases.
Second, they are not sure how their current representatives have
voted.
Your current representatives, Sally Kelly, Frank
Davis, and Diane Schuett, have voted for literally every tax
increase and spending increase in the last four years, and are
directly responsible for our huge budget deficit. I can’t
list them all in one letter, but more letters will follow.
·Vehicle registration increases? They voted for them
(HB2), then voted against a Republican bill to repeal them
(HB1588).
·15 cent gas tax increase? They voted for it
(HB644).
·Campground tax and LLC tax? They voted for them
(HB2), then opposed a Republican bill to repeal them (HB1445,
HB1661).
·New estate tax? They voted it in (SB450).
·New
electric generation tax? They voted it in (SB450).
·New
insurance premium tax? They voted it in (SB450).
·Two
increases on the tobacco tax? They voted for them (SB450).
·New tax on gambling winnings? They voted it in, then voted
against a bill to repeal it (HB1594).
·Decreased town
employee pension funding, increasing local property taxes by $27
million? They voted for it.
·Decreased revenue sharing with
Towns, directly increasing local property taxes? They voted for
it, then voted against a Republican bill to restore revenue
sharing (HB1274).
The irresponsible votes of Sally Kelly,
Frank Davis, and Diane Schuett are battering the working people
and businesses of New Hampshire with huge tax increases. I
hope to earn your vote on November 2nd and promise to fight to
reduce your taxes by cutting their bloated budget.
