Holiday Sale
Saturday, Decemer 2nd the Barnstead Historical Society will be
holding its 2nd Annual Christmas Sale at the Barnstead Town Hall
from 10am-noon.
There’ll be baked goods, crafts and historical memorabilia. Also
copies of Malcolm Locke’s book “Last Stories” and Town History’s
will be available for sale. Here’s a chance to get a start on
Christmas.
Come in
and join us for a free cup of coffee, cocoa, or mulled cider while
you shop. See you on December 2nd, 10am-noon.
REMINDER
The
Northwood CrankPullers Snowmobile Club will be hosting a Snowmobile
Safety Course for ages 12-15 at the Lake Shore Farm (275 Jenness
Pond Rd, Northwood) on Saturday, December 2nd from 8 am to 3 pm.

The
Prospect Mountain High School Class of 2020 is hosting a shoe drive
fundraiser. All collected shoes will be delivered to developing
countries, such as Ghana, Bolivia, and Haiti. These shoes are sold
at significantly lower prices and create working opportunities.
The
sophomore class is profited with every pair of donated shoes. Our
goal is to collect 300 bags of 25 pairs each. Shoes must be wearable
and have no holes.
Please
donate in any of our white cardboard donation boxes stationed at the
Alton Town Hall, the Barnstead Town Hall, or in the reception area
at PMHS. The fundraiser is currently taking place and will run
through January 20th.

Ladies
Cookie Swap
On
December 4th at 7pm Center Barnstead Christian Church will be
hosting a Christmas cookie swap for Ladies. Come and join us
for some great Christmas treats, gorgeous Christmas decorations and
fun atmosphere. Bring 4 dozen of the same type of cookie (or
brownie, fudge, etc.) and we will provide containers for you to
bring home a wide assortment of Christmas treats home. We will
also be awarding prizes for the best 3 cookies.

The
November 4H meeting was held on 11/19/17. These meetings take place
in the Barnstead town hall every third Friday of each month. The
meetings start at 7:00 and end at 8:30 P.M. On the last meeting, the
4H group elected officers of the club as well as doing some
Thanksgiving crafts. Everybody participated in these
activities. The next meeting will be December 15th and anyone is
welcome to join. We will be doing secret Santas and lots more! More
updates will be posted each month.
Democratic Candidate Information Night
Are you
a local Democrat who has ever wondered about running for State
Senate? Now is your chance to become informed. NH Senator Dan Feltes
(D) will speak on Monday, December 4th about what it’s like to be in
the state legislature, what the role entails, what time commitments
are involved, what it’s like to run a successful campaign, and to
answer your questions.
The
guest speaker will be followed by action items and community
organizing.
This
meeting of the Tri-Town Democrats of Barnstead, Gilmanton, and Alton
will be held at the Alton Senior Community Center at 7 Pearson Road
Road in Alton. Come for socializing and potluck any time between
6:15 pm and 6:30 pm. The meeting runs from 6:30 pm to 8:30pm.
The
meeting is open to any and all residents of Barnstead, Alton, and
Gilmanton who consider themselves moderate, liberal, or progressive
Democrats or like-minded Independents. Potluck items to share are
