Congratulations to Zachary Mayo of Center Barnstead who was named to the University of Maine at Farmington Dean’s List for the fall 2015 semester. UMF maintains a Dean’s List each semester for those students completing a minimum of 12 credits in courses producing quality points. Students whose grade point average for the semester is equal to or greater than 3.8 are listed with high academic achievement.

 


 

Teen Challenge

 

On Sunday March 13th, Teen Challenge NH will join us at the Center Barnstead Christian Church.

 

During the 9am Sunday School hour and during the 10am church service, we will hear personal stories from their group and listen as they sing together as a choir.

 

Teen Challenge in Manchester, NH is a “part of one of the oldest, largest, and most successful drug recovery programs of its kind in the world,” serving families and individuals throughout New England and New Jersey.  Teen Challenge provides residential recovery homes for hundreds of adults that combines with spiritual, academic, and vocational training.  Teen Challenge also has active outreach programs to the youth in our communities with successful drug abuse prevention programs.

Oscar Foss Memorial Library News

 

Business Planning for New and Existing Businesses The Oscar Foss Memorial Library, in conjunction with Lori Mahar, will be hosting a 3 month series of workshops designed to provide you with the education and support needed to complete a business plan. Whether you’re just getting started with an idea, or want to put some more structure around an existing business, these workshops can help!

 

Workshops and dates are as follows:

March 15th – Business Plan Overview Focus: Company Description and Products and Services March 29th – Review of Progress from 3/15 Workshop with Consultants April 5th – Marketing, Operational and Management Plans April 19th – Review of Progress from 4/5 Workshop with Consultants May 3rd – Financial Planning and Spreadsheets May 24th – Review Progress from 5/3 Workshop with Consultants June 7th – Follow Up and Review of Final Product All workshops will be held in the library meeting room from 6:30-7:30pm.  Please register online at oscarfoss.org or at the library.

 

Saturday Movie Matinee

Join us at the library on Saturday, March 12th at 1:00pm to celebrate Women’s History Month! Come to our free Saturday Movie Matinee showing of “Suffragette” for a relaxing afternoon with beverages and snacks provided by the library.

There is always something happening at the Oscar Foss Memorial Library!
