Benefit ‘Hot Dog Buffet’ Dinner
Barnstead
community members are sponsoring a Hot Dog Buffet Dinner to benefit our
neighbor Dave LeBrecque on Saturday, August 29th, 2015. Dave has
contributed much to Barnstead and the success of our Open Farm Day since
it’s inception.
The buffet
will be held from 4:30 until 6 pm or until we run out of food! It will
be held at the Barnstead Parade Fire station.
The cost is
your generous donation!

Historical Society
The
Barnstead Historical Society will be meeting August 27, 2015 at 7PM at
the Barnstead Town Hall for a short meeting and work session in
preparation of the Gathering On The Green. All are welcome and we look
forward to seeing you. There will be no supper, light refreshments will
be served.

Open Game
Night!
Join us on
Thursday, August 27th at 6pm for Open Game Night! Build some cool
creations with Minecraft, show off your Magic the Gathering skills or
tinker with the Snap Circuit kits provided. Make new friends and share
tips and tricks about the game you love! Please bring your own laptops,
smart devices, or anything to play Minecraft on, as well as Magic cards
if you have them!

about home brewing or looking to improve your yield? Sign-up to learn
about home brewing basics or to talk about the home brewing process and
product with veteran brewer Justin Umlah on Thursday, September 3rd at
7pm.
Toddler
Time and Story Hour
Toddler
Time and Story Hour will resume this September! Toddler Time meets on
Tuesdays at 10:30am starting September 8th. Story hour meets on
Wednesdays at 10am starting September 9th. Join us for fun, learning,
and socializing!

Barnstead Boy and Cub Scouts Summer Activities
The
Barnstead Boy and Cub Scouts have been involved in a number of Summer
Activities besides attending Scout Camp.
Both groups
were involved in the Roadside clean-up in June. This is part of our
community service component.
Some of the
Boy Scouts also set up and aided the Cub Scouts in making and launching
Bottle Rockets in July. Great Fun!!

Gathering On The Green
August 29,

Barnstead
Parade Church Grounds
There will
be crafters,vendors, displays, yard sale -sales, Lil Miss Witte and her
steam engines friends, oxen display (at ll AM), a mini presentation,
horseshoe tournament (sign-up at 10 AM, play at 10:30AM) and the
presentation of the Citizen Of The Year.
Food will
be available for purchase by the great cooks of Corinthian Lodge. Please
come and support these talented people.
We hope you
will take part in our country fair, sponsored by: the Barnstead Parade
Congregational Church.
There will
be a benefit dinner at the Parade Firehouse for David Labrecque from
4:30-6 PM, sponsored by: the local farmers group.
The concert
will be held at 7PM at the Parade Church Grounds featuring: the Freese
Brothers Band, sponsored by: the Parks And Recreation.
There will
be fireworks at dusk provided by: the Town Of Barnstead (rain date for
fireworks 8/30).
So, bring a
chair, visit with friends and enjoy the day. We look forward to seeing

Obituaries
Carol
(Pagurko) Nuttall
Carol
(Pagurko) Nuttall, 76, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013.
She was
born in Brookline, MA, Oct. 18, 1937, daughter of the late Frank F. and
Gladys (Arsenault) Pagurko and her late step mother Dorothy (MacLean)
Pagurko. She spent her early life in Somerville and was graduate of
Somerville High School, Class of 1955. She raised her children in
Medford, MA before moving to her summer home in Center Barnstead, NH,
later residing at the Woburn Nursing Center in Woburn, MA. A lover of
animals, she will be remembered as having a cat curled up in her lap.
She is
survived by her four children, of the Boston area and NY, sister Judy
Morande of CO, sister in law Barbara Jones of MA, five grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews and friends. She was also the sister of the
late Harold Jones. Her husband William Nuttall has since passed away.
The family
withheld publishing this notice until her home was sold.
