Gathering On The Green
Gathering On The Green will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015-10AM-3PM
on the Barnstead Parade Church Grounds.
We will be
renting a 20’x15’ space for crafters, yard salers, veggies sale, etc. If
you are interested, please call Jeannie at 269-5441. Please leave a
message and your call will be returned.
Gathering is sponsored by the Barnstead Parade Congregational Church
Missions. Any and all proceeds go to local needs in the community. We
had a wonderful time last year and hope to see you on the greens this

Reading Program Talent Showcase and Party
participate in the Talent Showcase or just come by for a party
celebrating the completion of the Summer Reading Program! Children’s
musicians Bryan and Angela Thomas will kick off the event with their own
performance. Join us on August 22nd at 10am for music, fun, and ice
cream! Summer Reading Program packets will also be awarded to all
participants who have completed the program’s requirements.

Barnstead Firefighters Association 5K Road Race/Fun Walk
Barnstead Firefighters Association is pleased to announce its 4th annual
5K Road Race and Fun Walk to start at the Barnstead Parade grounds on
August 22 at 9am.
is an “out and back” that follows the Suncook River from the Parade to
the intersection with Rt. 126 and then returns to the Parade along the
same route for the Finish. The race course is USATF certified for
accuracy and is considered flat and fast. Refreshments will follow the
race along with a Fun Race for the Kids.

‘Hot Dog Buffet’ Dinner
looking for a fun evening meal out with your family? Would you like
your neighbors to cook for you? Then you’ll want to mark Saturday,
August 29th, 2015 on your calendars!
community members are sponsoring a Hot Dog Buffet Dinner to benefit our
neighbor Dave LeBrecque. Dave has contributed much to Barnstead and the
success of our Open Farm Day since it’s inception.
Dave has had medical issues that have prevented him from working full
time. This has had a negative effect on his income. The benefit dinner
is the community’s way to honor him by providing a financial gift to
help him at this time.

homemade chili & cole slaw and Dave Murley’s famous baked beans. Dessert
will include luscious pies donated by Duane Family Farm, and Fahma Jo’s
chocolate chip cookies. Lemonade, iced tea & water will be served.

a local archery benefit competition on Thursday August 20th
· Warm-ups from 4:00pm-5:00pm, competition will start promptly at 5:30pm
· Any and all archers are welcome- registration required upon arrival.
· Must have your own equipment (crossbows and broad tip arrows not
· Bring practice target; competition targets will be provided.
· Donation of $2 or 2 non-perishable food items to participate, proceeds
to benefit local food pantry
· Gift Certificates to local businesses awarded to the top shooters
· Spectators and donations welcome!
· Children must attend with an adult and be supervised at all times
