The Locke Lakers had a most successful Pot Luck “Celebrating Spring” Supper at the lodge on April 12. Excellent choices of food made for a most delicious evening.  Games followed for the evening, and door prizes were awarded.

Next event will be on May 18th at 11:00am with a Sunday brunch. After brunch those who have reserved their tickets will see at the Scenic Theatre a comedy “Making God Laugh” presented by the Majestic Theatre players.  Any one wishing to attend the brunch/theatre, please call Ann at 393-7233 to make reservations.

Bingo will be on Friday May16th at 6pm.

Ice Cream Social

And Dedication

On May 17th, Saturday the Locke Lakers are invited to attend along with the Locke Lake community an ice-cream social and dedication of the pavilion from 1-3pm.

On June 22nd Sunday, at 11am the Lakers will have a “Welcome home”  brunch at the lodge specifically for the ‘snowbirds’.   Plan to attend.   Next meeting will be May 13th at the lodge.  Social at 9:30am, with the meeting at 10:00am.

Oscar Foss Memorial Library News

On Thursday, May 1st the Friends of the Library will be meeting at 6pm at the Oscar Foss Memorial Library. All community members are welcome to attend. If you enjoy visiting the library, would like to get more involved or just interested in more information please join us.

The next Lego Club will be on Friday, May 16th from 3-4:30pm at the library. We will provide all the Legos and display the children’s creative constructions in the library. The Lego Club is held every third Friday of each month and runs all year. 

On Saturday, May 17th at 2pm the Hampstead Stage Co. will be performing “The Wizard of Oz” at the Barnstead Elementary School.  This performance is free to attend and is sponsored by the Oscar Foss Memorial Library and the Barnstead Elementary School PTO. The performance will be 50-60 minutes followed by a time for questions and discussion.
