New
Year’s Eve Milk & Cookies Concert
At
The Barnstead Town Hall
Please join
us for the third annual New Year’s Eve Milk & Cookies Concert at the
Barnstead Town Hall on December 31, 2014 from 7:00-9:15 p.m. Doors will
open at 6:00 p.m. for a dinner meal of soups, salads, and desserts and
at 7:00.
Chris
Bonoli will open with a few songs for “The Mink Hills Band,” a very
special, not-to-be-missed, New Hampshire based acoustic band. They play
a selection of bluegrass, swing, folk, and original compositions for the
evening and the members play a variety of instruments from pedal steel,
dobro, standup bass, banjo, guitar to fiddle allowing for a broad style
of material and varied musical sound.
Most
notably, the group composed and played music for the documentary movie
Gordon Manning: the Sawyer of Sutton Mills and they have recently
released their new CD, “Weary Travelers Plea” featuring mostly
originals. If you haven’t met them, this is the perfect chance for a
close up intimate evening of their music.
The concert
ends ringing in the New Year with everyone singing all 6 verses to the
song “American Pie.” Tickets are limited because of the size of the
Town Hall so please call Chris at 776-3616 or 340-1468 and leave a
message to reserve or have tickets delivered to your door if you live in
the area. All proceeds will benefit the camper’s fund for the
Congregational Church of North Barnstead.
