Mary Poarch To Speak At CBCC


Mary Poarch will be visiting with the Center Barnstead Christian Church this Sunday, October 7th.  She will be giving us an update on her ministry at the New Tribes Mission Homes in Florida, where she cares for missionaries who have retired from the mission field. 


Previously, Mary served as a missionary to Indonesia for many years with her husband and four children. Mary grew up here in Barnstead, where her parents still live.


Sunday School for the whole family will begin at 9:00 am, and Morning Worship to follow at 10:00 am.

Obituaries



John A. Milano


John A. Milano, age 65, of Center Barnstead, died September 20, 2012 at CRVNA Hospice House in Concord, NH.


Born January 25, 1947 in Boston, MA, the son of John A. and Carmella “Millie” (Giampapa) Milano, he resided in Center Barnstead, NH for the past 17 years, having come from Lynn and Palmer, Massachusetts.


John was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served from 1966-1970.


Prior to retirement he was employed as a jet engine mechanic with General Electric and Lockheed Martin at Otis Air Force Base, he also worked on planes for the Air National Guard.  He had been a truck driver with Palmer Trucking, had worked as a cook at Hilltop Steak House and most recently was employed by the NHDOT.


He was a member of the V.F.W., D.A.V., AMVets, the Sons of Italy, Italian-American Club in Revere, a communicant at St. Peter’s Church in Farmington and member of the Knights of Columbus Ch. 7533 of Alton.


Survived by his wife of 26 years, Deborah A. (Roberts) Milano and their 3 children, Giovanni R. Milano, USMC, Angelina C. Milano and Suzanna Milano; two sisters, Linda Rose Ferrara and Brenda J. Whitcomb, also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated September 28, 2012 at St. Peter’s Church, Farmington, NH with Fr. Daniel J. Sinibaldi, pastor, as celebrant. Interment with military honors will be at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
