America Lost Her Way and How We Can Find Our Way Back”. Mr. Pauken
has been quoted as saying “….As former chairman of the Republican Party
of Texas, a former member of the Reagan administration and a
conservative, grassroots activist for more than four decades, I have
been unequivocal in my support for conservative tax reform….”. Mr.
Pauken will be discussing his ideas about what our country needs to do

for Presidential hopefuls and other influential leaders to stop, meet,
and greet local residents during the next year and a half, leading up to
New Hampshire’s First in the Nation Primary and the November, 2012
Presidential election. We are working with candidates’ campaigns
to suggest key stopping points in Belknap County and the Lakes Region at
small businesses/restaurants/diners in our local communities to meet &
greet local voters along these routes. If you’re interested in

Belknap
County Democrats
August Meeting
The Belknap County Democrats will
hold their monthly general meeting on Wednesday, August 10, at 6:30 PM
at the community meeting room of the Laconia Police Department, 126 New
Salem Street, Laconia.
We will be holding the election for a new
Belknap County Democrats Chair. All registered Democrats are
eligible to run or to vote.
This meeting will also be our 2012
Kickoff Strategy Session. What do we need to do to win next year?
What steps should we take now and into the new year? In
preparation, we ask you to do two things:
1. Speak to two of your
neighbors or friends. Ask them what they think the Democratic
party in your town and county should be doing. What can Democrats
do that would make our party attractive to them and make them interested
in voting Democratic or working with us?
2. Think about
who you think should be running for State Senate, State House of
Representatives, and county offices. We value your input and
recommendations. Ask someone who you think should run if she or he
is interested in being a candidate. Tell us what you hear.
For
more information, call Ed Allard at 366-2575.
