Speaker Of The House Bill O’Brien To Address
Belknap County Republican Committee
The
Belknap County Republican Committee is pleased to announce that Speaker
of the House Bill O’Brien will be the Guest Speaker at their next
meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 11 at the Shang Hai Restaurant, 331
South Main St., Laconia. Immediately following a short business
meeting beginning at 6:30 pm, Speaker O’Brien will address the
Committee, discussing the accomplishments of the House of
Representatives since the GOP’s victory this past November, and his
plans for the remainder of this session, as well as for the next session
which begins in January 2012.
Per the usual meeting format, if you’re interested in having dinner (at
your option) or want to socialize before the meeting, plan to arrive as
early as 5:30 pm.

Belknap
County Democrats May Meeting
The Belknap County Democrats will
hold their monthly general meeting on Monday, May 16th, at 7:00 pm in
the community meeting room of Trinity Episcopal Church, 274 E. Main
Street, in downtown Tilton.
The featured speaker will be Manny
Krasner. An attorney from Farmington and former Assistant
Strafford County Attorney, Mr. Krasner has served in various local
offices and is an award-winning longtime activist. He is a leader
of Progressive New Hampshire, and has organized groups throughout the
state to support progressive causes and candidates. He will
discuss key issues facing the state, and how to effectively organize for
the 2012 elections.
We will also pass the hat for contributions to
help the church’s community service programs, including their free meal
program for needy members of the community.

Open Barn for Yankee Miniature Horse Club on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from
