Don’t miss the annual Craft Fair at the First Congregational Church, 24 Main Street, Pittsfield, Saturday, Dec. 4, 9 am - 2 pm. Over a dozen local artisans feature fine seasonal crafts of all types including knits, decorative items, fresh greenery, gourmet selections and more.



The First Congregational Church, 24 Main St., Pittsfield is pleased to present, “The Light Shines On,” a concert of Advent and Christmas music, Saturday, December 11, 7-9 pm. Light refreshments will be served during a brief intermission. Be sure to include this joyous concert in your holiday plans.



 

Toys For Tots
Prudential Spencer-Hughes is a proud participant in the Toys for Tots Program.


Toys For Tots is a national campaign to collect new unwrapped toys that will be given to less fortunate children in time for Christmas Day.  This program is coordinated throughout the country by the United States Marine Corps (USMC).


Collection boxes will be placed at Prudential Spencer-Hughes Real Estate Offices at 24 Mount Major Hwy, Alton Bay, NH 03810, (603)875-2020 and at 22 So. Main Street, Wolfeboro, NH 03894, (603)569-6060.  Donations may be made thru December 15, 2010.

Barnstead Youth To Perform In The Palace Theatre’s Upcoming Production Of The Nutcracker


Logan Hales of Barnstead will perform in the annual production of the timeless classic, The Nutcracker at the Palace Theatre, Thanksgiving Day Weekend in six performances, Friday, November 26 through Sunday, November 28, 2010.


Logan has been dancing for five years with Southern NH Dance Theater (SNHDT) under the artistic direction of Patricia Lavoie. Logan, a thirteen-year-old eighth grader, will be performing this year as The Nutcracker.


“Logan is a very talented dancer and will certainly bring a star quality to his role as the Nutcracker,” stated Patricia Lavoie, artistic director, Southern NH Dance Theater.


Join us this holiday season as Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater’s performing company accompanied by a live orchestra, led by Grammy Award winning American conductor John Mclaughlin Williams, performs this timeless classic at the historic Palace Theatre in downtown Manchester.

Obituaries


 

Richard M. “Keeno” Keene


Richard M. “Keeno” Keene, 49, of Parade Circle, Barnstead Parade, died suddenly, Nov. 14th in the woods looking for deer sign with his son by his side.


He was the beloved son of the late Roberta Cotton and Richard Keene.  He grew up with his two older sisters Deb Foss and Darla Clark, whom he loved dearly.


He began his love of carpentry during high school and became a master carpenter. He met his future wife Martha Yelle at a Barnstead Elementary School dance in 1984 and they have been a couple ever since.


He is survived by Martha and son Wyatt Adin Keene, age 17, his father Richard, his sisters, nieces nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Roberta, his stepdad Robert “Bob” Simpson and his grandparents, Joe and Ruth Cotton.


He was always found farming, hunting, ice fishing at Leighton’s camp, or riding his Harley with his wife and his friends on a back road. He held his family and his friends very special.


There will be no visiting hours. A celebration of his life will be Saturday, November 20th at the Barnstead American Legion Post # 42 Hall, Beauty Hill Rd. West from 1 – 5 PM.
