Childfind
Barnstead
School District
In an effort to comply with State and Federal Laws
governing special education, to maintain eligibility for Federal Funding, to
engage in sound long range planning and to provide evaluation and
programming where appropriate, the Barnstead
School district
is making a conscientious effort to identify any potentially disabled
individuals residing within their jurisdictions.
Parents of children 0-6 years of age who suspect that
a child may be educationally disabled, are invited to contact their local
school special education director. Assessments will be performed to
determine if children qualify for special education programs and services.
Areas to be screened will be hearing, vision, communication and motor
functioning.
For further
information, parents would contact their local school and ask to speak to
the Special Education Director:
Anna
Williams,
Barnstead
Elementary School,

Hour this past

surprise ending!
Lots of
little library patrons were presented with police cars and fire engines and
proceeded to “drive” around the library. There was a flurry of activity,
sounds of bells and whistles and no one was pulled over for driving without
a license!
Come to the
Story
Hour
on Wednesday mornings (cancelled if school is not in session) at 10:00 a.m.
at the Oscar Foss Memorial Library in Center Barnstead. You will hear a
story or two and enjoy a snack with your preschooler. You never know what’s
going to happen!
Word Of Life Hungary
In a recent survey,
more than 53% of Hungarian people stated that they do not believe in any
sort of Supreme Being. As a result the spiritual decline in Hungary
has been a steady downward spiral in the social fabric. One of every five
adult Hungarian men is an alcoholic, and the suicide rate is once again on
the rise. In addition, 630,000 children and young people come from broken
homes, which is more than 42% of the total number of children living in this
country. Because of the obvious spiritual needs Pastor Brian and Judy Gower
from Center Barnstead Christian Church will be travelling to Word of Life
Hungary to teach at their Bible Institute. Not only will they be able to
share with students from
Hungary
but they will also teach and interact with students from 15 different
countries. The purpose of this trip is to teach the students the Bible, so
in turn the students can go back into their countries and teach the life
changing truths of God’s Word. Besides their teaching responsibilities the
Pastor and Judy will have
while in Hungary,
they will be ministering in a local church there as well as going to the
Czech Republic.
Currently, the Bolstridge family from Center Barnstead Christian Church are
students at the Bible Institute in Hungary.
