TOPS News
Submitted By Terrie Azotea
Well, we have been busy the last couple of weeks at TOPS. I will
start our with two weeks ago; our best loser was John and our KOPS
was Peggy. Awesome job guys! And we had some runners up, so Kudos to
those who had a weight loss.
We had an auction with many nice gifts that went around the room.
This past week our best loser was Sue B. and our KOPS was Barbara.
Nice job ladies!! Kudos to those who were runners up. We had a 6.6
net loss and with that I say, “awesome” because we all know how hard
it is, especially with a long holiday weekend and all the cookouts.
Our Miss. Angels are Suzie and Irene. Come on ladies, almost there.
We would like to welcome every one to come on out and check out our
yard sale on June 7th, across the street from the Berekah. We will
have many items there for you to look at. We have an Inspiration
Workshop coming up on June 14. Those are usually a good time.
Our winners of the contest are Suzie and Irene. We all know that it’s
the beginning of the summer months, and with that there are parties
and cookouts and that when we need to really pay attention on what
we put in our mouths, we tend to do meaningless eating. So, stay
focused and on track.
Our program this past week was on “know yourself, share something
about yourself, and be proud.” We were each handed a question and we
had to answer it about ourselves. It was really nice to get to know
each other a little bit more
At TOPS we are a support group that help each other lose weight and
be a friend. If anyone would like to join us, we meet on Tuesday
nights on Fairview Rd. at the Berekah at 5:30 for weigh-in and at
6:30 for our meeting.
Any questions, please call Janis White at 491-5532 or Claire Coll at
435-7271, and they will be happy to answer any. We welcome new faces
anytime! Hope everyone has a good week, and see you all lighter next
week!
Letter To The Editor
On behalf of the Pittsfield Post Office, we would like to say thank
you for all your food donations throughout Pittsfield, Chichester,
Epsom and those who brought food in from Barnstead.
Thanks to all of you, others will benefit and be able to feed their
families during hardship. Thank you to the Globe for posting the
food drive on your sign on Rte. 28. Remember that you can donate
anytime at your local food pantry. Thank you.
Letter To The Editor
Thank you, Jim Pritchard, for your letter last week’s Suncook Sun
defending Ted Mitchell’s request for donations to support his town
beautification activities.
Now, I’m not much of a glower guy, but over the last several years I
have been stopped while entering the Town Hall by the fragrant and
beautiful purple and white flowers.
Ted is part of a group of people who continually work to make our
downtown look as good as it does.
Ted was recognized as volunteer of the year by the Pittsfield
Listens group.
Ted works on many committees in Pittsfield. He supports anything
good for our town. He grew up here, and came back to retire here and
care for his mother.
Ted has made a difference, leads by example, and works hard to
improve our town. If we can, let’s help him.
