Preschool Openings!
Now is
the time to think about enrolling your child in preschool! The
Center School in Northwood is accepting registrations for the
2012-2013 school year.
The Center School is a parent cooperative preschool located next to
the Town Hall in Northwood, which provides a developmental program
for three, four, and five year-olds of Northwood and surrounding
towns. There are openings in our two-day (T/Th) program and
three-day (M/W/F) morning programs. Call us soon and come for a
visit! For information, please call director Karen Andersen at the
school at 942-7686.
Local author Naomi Avery will be at the Chesley Memorial Library to
talk about her latest book "Bumper" on Saturday, April 14, at 11:00
am. Bumper is the mouse that traveled across America in the wheel
well of a pickup truck. We hope that you can join us to hear about
Bumper’s adventures and enjoy some crackers and cheese. All ages
welcome!
Northwood Congregational Church is hosting their annual roast beef
supper on Saturday, April 21st. The cost is: $10 per adult, $5 for
12 and under. First seating is 5 pm, and the second at 6:15 pm.
Specify seating time preference when you order your ticket(s) by
calling either Dan Ferguson (603-828-3170) or the Church (942-7116).
This will sell out, so make your reservations early for this
delicious event. With home baked pie and beverages included with
dinner, what a bargain!
The Northwood CrankPullers Snowmobile Club hosted the monthly County
meeting on March 26, 2012 at the Northwood Diner. We would like to
thank all who attended, especially the "crew" at the Diner for their
awesome refreshments and hospitality. With the lack of snow this
year we are still doing trail work and are always looking for new
members. Check out our website at
www.northwoodcrankpullers.com for any contact information.

To all
Northwood residents:
Come
participate or come cheer on our runners at the final mile of the
Northwood Community Marathon.
Join us at Northwood School, Saturday, April 14 in the back fields
(if it’s raining we will hold it in the gym). 26.2 miles is a lot to
accomplish and we are ready to celebrate our runners’
dedication.
In
addition to running/walking the final mile, fun activities are being
planned for the morning from 10:00-11:30. There will be games and
prizes. Adults, we hope you have been logging your miles, as you,
too, may win a prize; and there are some great ones. Don’t forget to
bring your log sheet.
We hope
to see you all there.

A
Heartfelt Thank You!
On behalf of the Jezorwski and Beynon families, we would like to
thank the Northwood police and fire department members, as well as
the two NH Fish and Game officers who were first on the scene and
kept the fire from spreading to our mobile home. The fire department
arrived very promptly with their equipment and we thank them for all
their efforts in containing the fire. We also would like to thank
Epsom and Pittsfield fire companies who came to assist Northwood.
Everyone did an awesome job in putting out the fire.
Thank
you all so much,
Frank, Wanda and Richard Jezorwski
Charles, William and Janice Beynon
