Barnstead 2015 Citizen Of The Year
The Barnstead 2015 Citizen of the Year was awarded on
Saturday August 29 at the ‘Gathering on the Green’ in Barnstead
Parade.
This year’s recipient, Marjorie ‘Jeannie’ Terry, is a lifelong
resident of Barnstead. Jeannie has been giving back to the
community her whole life. She has been a Girl Scout leader .
Also, she has been involved with the Barnstead Historical
Society for many years. In the past she has served as Treasurer
and Secretary and now serves as the co-chair. Jeannie is also an
active member of the Barnstead Parade Congregational Church. She
has organized the ‘Gathering on the Green’ for the past few
years and helps with the church fundraisers.
When you go to vote Jeannie is always there with the other
Supervisor’s of the Checklist and she has probably helped most
of the residents register to vote.
Jeannie has worked for the town for years as our Treasurer. Next
time you are in Town Hall remember to congratulate Jeannie on
being Barnstead’s 2015 Citizen of the Year and thank her for all
she does for Barnstead.
The
Barnstead Citizen of the Year Committee would like to thank all
the residents who participated in nominating community members.
