Pittsfield Board Of Selectmen Announce New Police Chief
Pittsfield’s new Police Chief, Jeffrey Cain and Town
Admnistrator, Michael Williams.
The Board of Selectmen of Town of Pittsfield is proud and excited to
announce that Jeffrey M. Cain has been appointed to the position of
Police Chief effective July 22, 2014. Chief Cain has been a member
of the Pittsfield Police Department for 17 years and has repeatedly
demonstrated his commitment and dedication to the residents of the
Town.
Chief Cain served the Town as a Patrol Officer for 5 years, as the
Executive Sergeant for 12 years, and has further demonstrated his
superior technical and administrative skills as the Town’s Acting
Chief. He is also an active member of the Central New Hampshire
Special Operations Unit.
Chief Cain earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from New England
College and has attended numerous leadership courses throughout his
career, including the Executive Level Law Enforcement Leadership
Course through Roger Williams University.
The Chief has earned the respect and admiration of his Officers, his
peers, and the residents of Pittsfield. The Board of Selectmen is
looking forward to an era of transparent, open cooperation and
communication with the Police Department, and we ask that you join
us in congratulating and welcoming Chief Cain to his new challenge.
