National Night Out
“A good night to get to know your neighbors”
Tuesday, August 6, 2013
Come bounce to your heart’s content at this year’s National
Night Out sponsored
by the Pittsfield Police Association, August 6, 6-8pm at
Drake’s Field.
On Tuesday, August 6, 2013, from 6-8 PM at Drake’s Field, The
Pittsfield Police Association will host National Night Out, a nation
and world-wide effort to bring communities together to help fight
crime and drug activity across the country and around the world by
banding together to give a fun night out for children and families.
National Night Out is a great time to come out and meet your
neighbors, friends and members of the Police Department as well as
find out what is available for resources in the town of Pittsfield.
There will be free food and soft drinks; several groups from the
community will have tables set up with information on how to become
involved; state agencies will be available with information as well
as a K-9 demonstration by Cache and K-9 officer Di George and
information on animals and these soaring temperatures by Animal
Control Officer, Anne Taylor and much more.
Join The Pittsfield Players by requesting a spot to set up your
table. The Pittsfield Players, in an effort to kick off their 45th
anniversary season, will host a table and encourage children and
adults alike to attend the Center Stage Talent Contest as well as
the other shows that take place at the theatre because the Players
know that by being there for the community, the community will be
there for them. Also, The First Congregational Church of Pittsfield
will be on hand to answer your questions and invite you be a part of
their organization. PYW, as always, will have fun things to do to
spend your time while you’re at the park. If you’re a business or
community organization; don’t wait, contact the Police Department
now and let’s make Pittsfield’s National Night Out a success.
On August 6th, we invite neighborhoods nationwide to join us in
Giving Crime & Drugs A Going Away Party.”
