The Pink Ribbon Tour Is Coming To New Hampshire!
The Guardians of the Ribbon, a group of firefighters
from Arizona, are touring America to promote breast
cancer awareness, and they are doing it in a very
passionate and colorful way. On September 21, if you
are near NH Route 93, keep an eye out for a
PINK-RIBBON-covered fire truck, towing a
10-foot-tall silver ribbon cruising up the highway.
That truck and its crew will be at Globe
Manufacturing Company Monday, September 22 at about
8 a.m. The crew will be touring the Globe which was
responsible for their PINK firefighter turnout
suits. This tour is an in-house event, but all are
invited to the Pink Ribbon Tour at Wal-Mart on
Loudon Road in Concord, from 4pm to 8pm. The
Guardians of the Ribbon are asking everyone to sign
the PINK fire truck, and share their stories.
Other sponsors include Your American Cancer Society
from Bedford; the Mobile Digital Mammography van
from Exeter Hospital, a new vehicle that was put
into service in July 2008; the Payson Center for
Cancer Care at Concord Hospital; ‘The Globe
Striders’ for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer;
popular local Rock Band ‘RockUs’; and much MUCH
more! There are plenty of activities for the whole
family! Please wear PINK, and come out to show your
support for The Pink Ribbon Tour and breast cancer
awareness. For more information about The Tour,

Dave Graybill, Glendale Arizona firefighter, and the
man behind the dream, asks that we join in a
movement that was started almost a year ago. “We are
a male-dominated profession, supporting a
female-dominated disease, and it is in our nature to
fight for those who have lost the ability to fight
for themselves. This Tour will not only bring us
together, but give those who are battling this
dreadful disease an overwhelming feeling of support.
We believe the ‘Cares Enough to Wear Pink’ campaign
will have a positive impact in the lives of those
battling breast cancer.”
The Pink Ribbon Tour group left Arizona on August
24, and has planned at least 28 stops around the
country, showcasing their PINK fire truck, wearing
their PINK firefighter turnout suits to help raise
funds for local cancer-related agencies.
