Chichester Grange Awards Night
Matthew and Kristina Cole, Fire-Rescue; Bernd Reinhardt,
Community Citizen; Ian MacKinnon, Outstanding Youth; Debbie Mousseau,
Postal Worker; Frank Chmielecki, Police Officer; and Tara Beauchemin,
Educator.
The purpose of a Grange Awards Night is to honor representatives of
groups who serve their communities on a daily basis. On May 4th,
2011, Chichester Grange honored the following individuals for their
service to Chichester and the surrounding area.
Matthew and Kristina Cole volunteer for Chichester’s Fire-Rescue
Department. In addition to emergency response duties Matt works with
the students from Laconia Technical College’s fire science program
who participate in the student live-in program at the Chichester
Fire Station. Krissy does ambulance scheduling, payroll, and billing
for Chichester Fire-Rescue.
Police Officer Frank Chmielecki works part time for the
Chichester Police Department, primarily on Sundays. He is also a New
Hampshire certified Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun Instructor.
Debbie Mousseau is a postal worker at the Epsom Post Office. She
has worked for the United States Postal Service for twenty-five
years.
Tara Beauchemin is a teacher at Chichester Central School. In
addition to her teaching duties she has taken on many
extra-curricular responsibilities and is studying for a Master’s
Degree at New England College.
Ian MacKinnon received the Outstanding Youth Award. He is a
senior at Bishop Brady High School where he participates in
athletics, maintains an A average, and is a friend to all. He spends
his community service hours making Carpenter Park look good.
Bernd Reinhardt was honored as Chichester Grange’s Community
Citizen. He has become very involved with the Chichester Historical
Society and the Library. His skills in repairing and building with
wood and metal have proved invaluable on many occasions. Some of his
most visible work can be seen at Thunder Bridge where he built the
kiosk, painted the picnic table three times, and supervised or
helped with repairs to the bridge itself.
All of the recipients have families and other demands on their
time. This Awards Night was a chance to thank them for serving well
in those areas that make our community such a fine place in which to
live.
