All Seasons Bird Photo Exhibit
A
photographic exhibit featuring the work of Udo Rauter of Chichester
is on display at the Epsom Public Library from January 8 to February
19.
Armed with a digital Nikon camera and a 600 mm Nikon super
tele lens, Udo Rauter has, since his retirement from state service,
explored our coastline during Spring and Winter, climbed mountains,
and roamed near the Rio Grande in Texas in search of rare birds and
common ones as well.
Udo
Rauter’s most prized pictures are on display, in full natural color
and showing great details. Included in the diverse collection are
uncommon birds such as a golden cheeked warbler and a black hawk
from Texas, a hawk owl, snowy owl and a great gray owl, all rare
winter visitors to New Hampshire. There are a variety of colorful
warbler photos taken as they are passing through the state during
their spring migration. You will find local birds as a robin,
several herons and egrets as well.
The
exhibit is enjoyable, informative and worthwhile for all ages.
It may be viewed during regular library hours; Monday - Thursday, 10
am to 7 pm, and Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm. For more information,
call 736-9920.
