Epsom Girl Scout Troops Hold 2nd Annual Powder Puff Derby

On June 13th, the Epsom Girl Scout troops held their second annual Girl
Scout Powder Puff derby race at the Epsom fire station. This event was a big
hit and lots of fun for everyone! There were 36 racers; which included
racers from the Daisy, Brownie, and Junior troops, as well as Girl Scout
Leaders, a few sibling and adult racers. Each Girl Scout was responsible for
the design, theme, creation and painting of her race car.
Big winners this year were Daisy, Sarah Bennett with the Awesome ‘Possum
car; Brownie Maria “Jr.” LaMontagne with her Nate Bomb car; Junior,
Emily Marston racing the Peace Mobile, Leader, Kristin Bingham racing the
ONE WAY car, Sibling, Nick Muise with his Swiss Cheese car and in the
Adult class, Bob Bennett with the green machine. Overall 2010 Girl
Scout Powder Puff winner was Brownie, Maira “Jr.” Lamontagne.
