Ordination Service Set For David Stasiak
Sunday, June 14, will be a highlight in the spiritual journey of David
Stasiak as he is ordained and installed as pastor of the First
Congregational Church, 24 Main Street, Pittsfield. Since his
arrival in September, when he was called from his ministry in Marco
Island, Fla., Pastor Stasiak has been a true shepherd to this
congregation.
“I believe that God has shaped me and called me to be a spiritual
leader and, more specifically, a servant leader,” he said. The
pastor received his Master of Divinity Degree from Asbury Theological
Seminary in Oviedo, Fla. in 2005.
He and his wife, Linda, are making their home in Pittsfield and are
the parents of three grown children.
Pastor Stasiak has already officiated at weddings and funerals, has
established regular office hours at the church, and has initiated many
new activities such as Bible studies, prayer meetings, potluck suppers,
and game nights, to name a few. He has also become quite a
familiar and friendly face among the town folk.
The church family invites the public to extend the hand of
fellowship to Pastor David and Linda Stasiak on Sunday, June 14 at 3
p.m. as they and the church celebrate this important event in their life
and in the life of the church and the community. A reception will
follow the ordination service.
Early Monday morning the Pittsfield Fire Department, along with several
of its mutual aid partners, dealt with a fire which destroyed an
apartment building on Main Street. There were two fatalities. Our
thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy. Photo by Diane Vaughn
