Gilmanton Food Pantry And
Thrift Shop News
The
Gilmanton Food Pantry wants to congratulate all the Scouts in
Gilmanton, and their families, for a successful “Scouting for Food”
drive on Saturday, November 4th. Thanks to your efforts and
all the people who put out food (despite some not having power for a
week) the Gilmanton Food Pantry received over 500 pounds of food.
This donation will help us to assist others, especially at this time
of year.
Right
now preparations are in process for our Adopt-A-Child project.
Toys and clothing are purchased for those Gilmanton children who
might not otherwise receive gifts at Christmas. Anyone wishing
to help with this worthwhile project may either adopt one child, one
family of children or just purchase one gift on a child’s wish list.
For persons who may not have the time or resources to go and shop
for gifts, we will accept a monetary donation and purchase the
gift(s) on your behalf. For more information, please contact
Anne Kirby at 364-7498 or Katie McEntee at the Gilmanton School at
364-5681.
Donations for Christmas food baskets are especially helpful.
Any non perishable item or hams margarine, eggs, potatoes and
monetary donations are useful. Non-perishable food items may be
dropped off at the Academy building, the Year Round Library, and at
the Pantry during open hours. Monetary donations may be
brought in to the Pantry or mailed to the address listed below.
As
always, the volunteers at the Gilmanton Food Pantry & Thrift Shop as
well as those whom we serve are grateful for the support of the
community.

forget that the Thrift Store is open to the public and November sale
