Gilmanton American Legion Auxiliary

On August 9th, the Gilmanton American Legion Auxiliary, Ellis-Geddes-Levitt Unit 102 will be “Open For Business” at Gilmanton’s 116th Old Home Day!

Stop and visit with us.  Enjoy home-made food delights and sign our guest book in which you’ll find old friends from near and far.

Don’t forget to buy a chance on our largest annual raffle.  First prize is a wonderful basket filled to the brim with home goods to complement and “comfortize” your home.  Second prize is a beautiful hand-crafted afghan.  This year’s colors are a blend of variegated grays resulting in a very beautiful and warm accent. For a third prize this year, the Auxiliary is very pleased to offer a hand-painted Lupine Tea Set.  We hope you will be lucky with your chance!

Please also be sure to view the progress on our Veterans at Rest in Gilmanton project.  All Veterans should receive the honor of recognition for their service and this honor should extend to their final resting place.  This project will record Veteran burials within the community so that the Gilmanton Legion may place an American Flag at the grave each spring.  Since public records on veteran burials are incomplete, we are asking the public to share information with us on Veterans buried in Gilmanton, both recent and older burials, including name, burial location and other relevant information that may be available.

Join our Legion Auxiliary at the Smith Meetinghouse grounds, 451 Meeting House Road, 10am on August 9th and enjoy another wonderful Gilmanton Community Event!
