GCC Food Pantry And Thrift Shop News

Remember to Save the Date:  The GCC Thrift Shop will be holding its annual Yard Sale on Saturday, July 12th at the Gilmanton Community Church, Route 140 in Gilmanton Iron Works, N. H from 8 am – 2 pm.  We invite everyone to stop by and find some awesome treasures.  All proceeds from the Yard Sale help to support the Food Pantry.

Additionally, we are accepting donations for the yard sale.   If you have any items in good condition that you wish to donate, please bring them to the Food Pantry/Thrift Shop during open hours.  We are not accepting electronics, or any items that are broken or have missing parts.  If you have a large piece, please call ahead as our storage capabilities are limited.  All saleable things that can be re-purposed are welcomed, so check your garage, basement and attic to see what you “can live without” and donate for a good cause.  Also, please stop by to find that special something that you have been looking for.  Thank You!

While checking out the yard sale, be sure to visit the Thrift Shop. We will be featuring a bag sale.  As many items that you can fit in a bag will be $10 per bag which includes a free fabric shopping bag.  Great deal!  You will be surprised how much you can put in a bag.

All during the month of July everything in the Thrift Shop is 50% off.  Stop in often as we are always adding new items.

Correspondence and/or monetary donations should be mailed to GCC Food Pantry, Post Office Box 16, Gilmanton, N. H.  03237.  Our physical location remains the same at 1817 NH Route 140 in Gilmanton Iron Works, N. H.  Parking and entrance to the Shop and Pantry is available at the Gilmanton Community Church parking lot.

Hours:  Mondays, 1 – 5 pm; Wednesdays, 3 – 7 pm and Saturdays, 10 am – 2 pm.  Telephone number: 603-364-0114.

The Gilmanton Year-Round Library Giving Tree

The Gilmanton Year-Round Library Board of Directors offers a new annual giving opportunity called The Giving Tree.  This tiered-plan allows all level of donations to the GYRL, from a twenty-five dollar Acorn donation to fund a program, to a $1,000 Gold Leaf donation to assist in operating costs.

There are six levels of donations to suit every budget:  Acorns for $25, Flowers for $50, Copper Leaf for $100, Bronze Leaf for $250, Silver Leaf for $500 and Gold Leaf level for $1,000.

The Board of Directors expects to raise at least $20,000 with this annual fundraising campaign. The Board anticipates that leaf by leaf, acorn by acorn, this goal can be accomplished. Any donation level chosen helps to provide the staff and board of the Library with the resources to offer a vast collection, engaging programming and great service to all the residents of Gilmanton.

All donors will be recognized by having their names placed on the GYRL Giving Tree which will be displayed at the library. Donations can be made with PayPal on the website at www.gyrla.org by clicking on the “donate” icon, or by check made payable to the GYRL at 1385 NH Rt 140, Gilmanton Iron Works, NH 03837.  Donations are tax deductible.
