Gilmanton Thrift Shop News
Starting December 3rd through the end of the month, the Gilmanton
Thrift Shop will be holding a Christmas Stuff The Bag Sale! Fill a
bag for $7.00. We have many nice items of clothing, shoes and
accessories. Do some Christmas shopping or buy something special
for the upcoming holiday parties at the incredibly low price of
$7.00.
The Adopt-A-Child project continues. If you would like to buy
Christmas gifts for a child in need, contact Beth Lavin at 267-1934.
The Food Pantry continues to gratefully accept donations of
non-perishable items and/or turkeys or hams for the Christmas food
baskets. We have had enormous support from the community, but the
need to assist continues.
It is with grateful appreciation and a huge thank you to all of our
supporters, those individuals and businesses that have contributed
to the food drives and all those who have made donations on their
own. We would not be able to assist our neighbors and citizens in
need without your help.
Lower Gilmanton First Baptist Church
Christmas Service and Holiday Get Together
The
Lower Gilmanton First Baptist Church on Route 107 is having their
annual Christmas Service and Holiday Get Together on Sunday,
December 6th at 6:00 PM. Pastor Chris Stevens will inspire all in
the retelling of the birth of Jesus.
There will be a collection box for canned goods and non-perishable
food items, which will be donated to the Gilmanton Community Church
Food Pantry. For the young at heart, there will be a visit from
Santa and Mrs. Claus, so bring a child’s present for Santa to give
out. Please make a dessert or snack to share with family, friends,
and neighbors. All are welcome to attend. Hope to see you there.
